Coaching Options

A man returns to his community after attending a Men's Leadership Alliance program. He is on fire about his new abilities and awareness. He wants to tell everyone about them. Sadly, however, more often than not he is met with blank stares. He begins to question the validity of his experience. And so begins the struggle of integration.

We respect the challenge every man faces in the return to a community that does not understand or value this work. The challenge of integration, perhaps above all others, is the reason we created the Men's Leadership Alliance.

Men cannot, and should not, navigate the swirling waters of their lives alone. We are dedicated, passionate, and deeply committed to bringing men together. Our experience informs us, and through it we know: a man's life is so much the richer when reflected in the eyes of other men he can call his brothers.

In the spirit of integration and continuing growth,
we provide the following services:

The Annual Reunion
Each year, men who have attended our programs are invited to a gathering of their brothers. This reunion provides an opportunity for men to rekindle and reinforce the insights of their work with us. It provides a reminder of the powerful connection we all share, and reminds men they do not have to do it alone.

Spirit Camps
We support an 18-year tradition of providing regional weekend men's soul retreats throughout the year. These three-day programs can revivify any of the more in-depth programs a man may have attended. Spirit Camp is also an excellent way to introduce a new man, young or old, to the practice of connecting in noncompetitive brotherhood.

Following the age-old tradition of sacred counsel and heartful listening, Spirit Camp provides a much needed drink from the well of meaning and ceremony. It is anchored in the pan-cultural tradition of the round dance, the power of music and rhythm, the beauty of poetry and stories of the struggle, and of the awakening.

Connecting Points
Nothing serves a man like the regular meeting of a small circle of men. It can be difficult, however, for a man new to the work to create a circle for himself. Through our website, and the dedication of our members across the country, we encourage and facilitate the formation of viable, regular small men's circles for those men who want them.

Individual Counseling, Coaching and Consultation
Among our talented members are professional counselors, mentors and coaches. They are available for support either over the phone or in person. By accessing their experience and tools, men who have been through programs can continue the processes they began at a training. They can receive support, gain insight, clear barriers, develop plans and be held accountable to their commitments.

Our staff also offers executive coaching services to assist individuals and groups in navigating business and professional transitions.

Small Group and Family Facilitation
Our facilitators are available to create personalized programs for specific groups or families in need. Based on the particular circumstances of the situation, facilitators with the applicable skills respond to the specific requests. With creativity, kindness, and a commitment to service, the Alliance strives to respond fluidly to issues and opportunities that arise.

After ten years together, I continue to be in awe of the power in our circle. There is magic in our connection, a deep spirit of belonging, love, and meaningful guidance. I cannot imagine life without my circle of brothers.
