Tennessee Soul Camp:

Finding a Stronger Place to Stand
May 13-16, 2010
Camp Youth Incorporated, La Vergne, Tennessee

Gary

You are warmly invited

You are warmly invited to our third annual Tennessee Soul Camp gathering, Finding a Stronger Place to Stand. In this challenging and changing times finding solid ground to stand on can prove to be difficult. True, authentic healing is a practiced art; one which we need to practice now, perhaps more than ever.

Come enter a sacred container with a brotherhood of men. Come and learn with us. You may find food for your soul, if hungry, and waters of wisdom, if thirsty. Come nourish and nurture your soul.

We come together to do this deep personal work so that we can better serve our families, communities, and the world. You are welcome exactly as you are right now, and we commit to meeting you in whatever landscape you find yourself. Together we will help each other find the individual solid grounding to stand upon so that we can remain steadfast in these shifting times.

This year we will be gathering at Camp Youth Incorporated, near La Vergne, Tennessee, a beautiful lake front campground with cabins to handle any weather conditions.

"And these are the words of the lesson...I am a man, I am a wounded man, I am a deeply wounded man. I own my own wounds and all the power therein belongs to me to do as I wish - to do my bidding. And the world shall yet know the power of my loving...the power of my wounds...and I will surely do it."

    "The Words of the Lesson",
    Bruce "Wolf" Boehlen

Support and the intention of the gathering

Held in the month of May, a time of renewal and rebirth, of wildflowers and fireflies. We will come together in council, dance, music and ritual. We will stand in the fire together and listen and be heard without judgment. Tears will be as welcome as laughter. Our senior staff, who have worked together for more than twenty years in creating safe containers for men to do their sacred work, will lead us throughout the weekend.

Young men Eighteen and Older
and Elders are Encouraged to Attend

These men offer invaluable insights that are a critical source of guidance and balance during the gathering.

Bring a friend, a young man, a father and son, a grandfather or sponsor someone to attend!

Just throw away all thoughts of imaginary things, and stand firm in that which you are.
