Engaging Conversations for the Whole Community
MLA’s Community Talks Series are a great place to have honest conversations about the modern challenges we face every day. All genders and gender expressions are welcome.
As Peter Block, author and community builder says, “The social fabric of community is formed from an expanding shared sense of belonging. It is shaped by the idea that only when we are connected and care for the well-being of the whole that a civil and democratic society is created.”
Community building occurs in an infinite number of small steps. We believe that one of the keys to creating or transforming community lies in groups of people gathering together – not to come up with any sort of answers to the perceived problems that exist today, but rather to uncover and remember the richness that exists in each of us, which is amplified when we gather together.
Out of this sense of connectedness a new and vital alchemical mix occurs, which provides the resourcing necessary to usher in a healthy and vibrant community, and thus a healthy and vibrant world.
We offer this event periodically when a pertinent topic presents itself. Please stayed tuned for our next offering.
